Paypal has a history of witholding funds from vendors due, apparently, to social and/or political differences between the vendors and PayPal. There have also been some issues with privacy. They are also owned by eBay, so if you have a problem with that company (many people do) then Paypal isn't your thing either.
Personally? I avoid PayPal as much as possible. I do not fear they will steal my money -- that risk is in the vender's realm, and if they choose to risk it, well, that's for them to decide.
I would never, ever, actually sign up for an account with them (and sites who use them drop a little in my esteem), but fortunately for youplayit you don't have to do that in order to use them to make a payment to someone.
