Webmasters,

This site has always been quite rare in the sense that the forum and all the games have been played politely, by polite people. On the rare occasion that someone has become rude, offensive or abusive they haven't stayed very long.....probably because the message has been made clear from other players that they are unwelcome.

However, in the last week or two it's become clear that several players haven't understood that their abuse is unwanted on this site - despite comments by many players. I haven't joined in on those debates because I don't want to give them the exposure they seem to crave.

The posts, many of which are offensive, haven't been removed despite requests from other players.


I think two things are needed:

a) A way to quickly remove these posts in future
b) A way of warning/banning/taking measures against those who are abusive

I understand that you're busy - if this is the case, could certain trusted players be given the power to moderate forums and remove the posts? This works well in other forums. I can think of several players on here I would trust to do that (without naming names at this point) and am sure that they would be willing to do it.

That way we can keep this site the polite place it has always been.........
