Sounds like an interesting idea. I too had thought of a sort of "Ryder" cup like format as well. With the Squad cup, you have a limit with the number of participants since they all must be registered in a squadron. The accounting of such a format, could be a daunting task. You probably would have to allow a certain number of entries, and collectively count them towards the country they represent, since there would be many entries from say the US, UK, and Italy, but not as many from some other countries.
When you say must be played by the following Sunday, I think that might not be practical since not all play this more than once a day or two. Still its a good idea to explore. |
