To exit left you need to check a box that appears in the move selection frame and then make your move a second time.

I checked the box about a billion times here is the actual bug!!

Pilot grazed: must do a straight maneuver this turn
Rudder jams: must do L maneuvers for next 2 turns

One damage is forcing me to go straight the other is forcing me to go left! This is a bug!

Actually I tested this in another game and it is broken no matter what you try you can not exit. It has nothing to do with the conflicting damage. I am using Firefox browser.

Also fails with Internet Explorer

Does it show that you have ANY available moves on the moves chart?

Yes I have 2 left hand turns I can do, I tested on a perfectly good airplane in another game and attempted to move off but the same issue occurs the box check is ignored. I also tested this in two different browsers in case Firefox was the problem it still happens. So this is not damage related, the function simply does not work.

I play on Google Chrome exclusively but have played on Firefox before. The web code behind YPI is old, it was done in ASP and VBScript I believe. Most likely an update of the scripting engines in the browser broken something.
