I liked your idea of camel and ss1 but the triplane ss1 seems a bit lopsided. Then again, it's better than Fritz Ferocious.
I see your point of view and it is a good one. Is it any more lop-sided than a Spad XIII vs. a Schuckert III or IV?
This scenario is taylored more for experienced pilots that like to fly German aircraft and test their skill against a superior aircraft. To me it is not about fairness but more about a skilled pilot looking for a challenge.
I have played against many different opponents and their is a wide range in pilot skill level. I can tell you from experience that their are pilots that are skilled enough to choose the Schukert DI and win the duel.
