i went over the rules again...
it is definitely a bug...we are not really talking about deflection here...but a matter of WHERE the damage should have gone
there is no exception that i can find to the rule that when firing through the front hex of an aircraft that Tail hits become Engine hits...and vice versa...observers arent exempted from this rule
going back to what you were saying about raking fire...in this particular case it would be a matter of moving from a position where he had NO shot to one where he had a shot into my front hex
...so even that argument would not hold a lot of water...nor is the target's previous position considered when determining deflection or eligibilty for firing
It's not my arguement. I hate it and find it not in line with the original game. That's the explaination I was given when I posed the same query around 6 months ago. |
