Sure, it can happen that this new user will disappear during one or more games, because he simply doesn't like this way to play, but it can even happen that this new user will became interested in playing more boardgames, helping us with our mission.

Let me say a couple of things on this on going discussion.
While having a look to the YoyPlayers' HomePage or other cool site I noted http://www.asobrain.com/
Among their features there is a page on the etiquette to be followed. This could be a good addition to the site. In that page they establish what is a quitter and talk about a "Quitter manager". This lead me think that you can think about a quitting option. If a player decides to quit, he can switch to that status that automatically put him in the auto move status.

Another thing that I would do is a different logic in Caragena auto-moving. Once it is the turn to move of a player, immediately check if it is an auto-mover and move it. This would save a lot of time.
