maybe u downloaded the "source" : since it is still under development, programmers can "work" about it if they wish. This is the "install" stable file : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/wesnoth-windows-1.0.2.exe?download

It's not a multiplayer : it's a turn-based strategy game (like Avalon Hill oldies). There's an online-game option, I guess.
