Have you seen it snake? It will lose money. From what I've read the less than scale speeds and the plethora of DR1s colored Red dooms it for anyone with even a moderately serious affection for WWI aviation.


Not sure when it's released in the UK, but it definitely isn't looking good for its financers judging by the meagre box office takings in the US. Was it $50m or $60m of their own money they need to recoup? A shame really when they made the effort out of their own pockets.....but perhaps if they'd made it more historical and less like a pearl harbor-esque film* the critics would have loved it and it could be seen as a classic must-see film. They could even have had oscar nominations etc which would have led to commercial success. Who knows what could have happened if it had been made differently?

*I say this with caution having not seen the film yet
