I'm not sure I understood exactly what being in a squadron means.

Basically you'll just be enlisted in a group of players that will fly tournaments together or play games against other squadrons for fun. After a couple of games, you should be able to rely on your wingmen (in regular games it would be each man for himself!) and get a clear grasp about your opponents. The squadron tournament counts scores differently too. Teamplay and spirit is what it's all about, and a bit of roleplaying by the side (like Cheepicus intro - nice one btw). IMO, joining a squadron is getting more from Blue Max than you already do .
