The news section was last used in February 2015. That's more than a year ago. That typifies everything I have been talking about.

I feel some of the blame as well. I used to regularly create tournaments that were a lot of fun for all and I have been very lax in doing so the last few years.
Craig, I tried to run the FA Cup twice and couldn't get enough takers. There's barely enough players to fill two leagues. It's getting desperate.
No matter how hard we try, without some attempt to repair the bugs players get fed up and leave. I'm almost at that point now. I don't know for how much longer though.
While it may be true in some of the other YPI games, I'm not sure there that many serious bugs still in BM; certainly nothing I'd leave the site over myself.
Real life can also be a factor; I have twin boys to help take care of now, so don't have time to have 250 plus games going anymore
I've noted a few old familiar names have reappeared as RL issues have allowed them the time to play again.
Also, some game/league settings I simply don't like, so don't sign-up for such. From time-to-time I post a few new leagues and games myself. Sometimes they fill-up, sometimes they don't; that's simply the way things are these days.

The bugs are worse in WSIM, Blue Max is essentially bug free. League system is "as is". I heard years ago BlueDragon (Emilio) had a way to create games externally when he was running his leagues back then but those were the days that Nick ran the site. Not sure whether the current owners will allow us to poke into the YPI site like that.
Long running leagues / competition make people loose interest. People (me at least) expect game after game with little wait. That GraysGhost campaign from way back where we started off with primitive planes and supposed to move up started off fine. But then some games finished within days while others lasted weeks. Nothing can move until all games are done. People forgot about the league and the organizer went to Africa for work.....
