Years ago we had serious problems with players that used multiple personas. My opinion is that it should only be allowed if clearly identified. Just my opinion. I always wanted another for organized team play, but didn't want to cross into the zone that abusers use. Whenever I see some fishy flying in a game I look to see if there are any tell tale signs of multiple accounts.
In this case, those involved will identify the alter-ego when the game starts. We all know pokerguy = Mongoose, imdog = [few others], etc. However none of us ever see pokerguy and Mongoose in the same game or league.
Not claiming that those with multiple accounts ARE wrong doers. As I played a part in outing past wrong doers for this behavior, I am cautious regarding this.
There is an old expression regarding tar and brushes. Some people, even in this day and age, are honourable and chivalrous. I make no secret over my multiple identity and you will not find them in the same games except when advertised like this.
So why not create one and join us? My name is Christie Gray. (Yeah "a boy named Sue" and Kit could be short for Christopher

) One logon is Christie and the other is Gray's Ghost.
Having two persona for different game types will not make you the devil especially if you tell people who you are!
@DBurkeG, you are refer to "The Clone Wars"/"doppelganger/Spinxx attack"? The problem is not about double identity but someone make a name very alike to another user, like imdoog and play unethically to make the original user looks bad.
@dcr66 imdog=imlph=imxxxx.... some 6 ... or 8 accts mainly for testing purpose.
@all it is okay to have multiple identities provided that you disclose it at the BEGINNING of the game/ mention in the description / in the forum.
I even know some funny user even use multiple identities to create funny result so to push their own statistics. This phenomenon is discussed between Nick and me before and he said it is the usual abuse of system. Basically both of us don't care of such behaviour as long as the players didn't affects other users experience.
That's my point of view of multiple identites.
cheers,
