I agree with you that it's a bit gamey, but there's not much you can do about it. I tend to avoid the Free Plane Placement games as it seems there are certain pilots who use it to hide from the fighting until their teammates have crippled a few planes. Then they swoop in for the kill, points, and wins. Large maps with few planes are another means for such tactics.
Blue Max isn't just about dogfighting tacts though. It's also about knowing your teammates as well as your opponents, what they tend to do, and how to take advantage of it. |
