On an unrelated note, do any of these demos work on your touch devices?

YES!

They work great. Tested on Ipad, Kindle, Android tablets, and Android Phone. No problems at all and each of the demos does what it is supposed to do.

Thanks!

Picked up a Windows 8 phone (yech - stick with droid, but that's another story.)

The good news:
Current drag mechanics in WS&IM actually work OK on this OS with the native IE 10. It's a bit hard to click-and-hold but once you do, you can usually get it to drag the window without dragging the entire screen as these interfaces usually do.

The above demos from allen-sauer.com also work on Win-8-mobile.

(FYI - Win-8-mobile OS is NOT Windows 8. It just looks similar.)

The bad news:
What does NOT work in Win-8-mobile:
1) The case where you can single click on an enemy unit and see their status or last move, etc. That small pop-up window does not appear.

2) Gonzaga does not work either. The screen is missing some elements and, when it's your turn, your piece to be moved is nowhere to be found.

Note: I've not tested Cartagena, King Me, or Vampiring as I don't have any current games running. Whenever you want to get serious about implementing the new library, let me know and I'll be happy to test all games on all my devices. I'll even pick up a Win-RT device (my job gives me the ability to test the many varieties of mobile devices out there.)

We can do real regression testing at some point. Just let me know when you are ready.
