Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this message earlier.
The broadside smoke graphics means that that side has no ammo ready.
So if you load Double Shots, which take 2 turns to load, the broadside graphics stays for 2 turns but the ship doesn't fire when it's still half-way loading (Turn 7).
On turn 5 instead, the broadside was still empty (without firing) because you had opted to replace Chain with Round in the other side, instead of reloading the empty one. |
