Well, it really wasn't started with this intention, but game number 21278, an invitation game between the original Beta Test Team and the supplement beta testers has turned into a real All Star Game!

The original Beta Team already included among the highest scoring players on site: Michzeidler, sfatula, pbass111, argeleb, longneck, and streaker, but we have managed to coaxe the previous scoring champ, scotireb, out of retirment. He's our ringer! We are the French in Gibraltar, and the total of wins for the seven of us is 3,764! Do the math, folks. That averages to over 537 games per player!

We're the old guys, glazed eyes, thousand-yard stare veterans, the Barnacles.

Our opponents are no slouch group themselves. Somehow, they've managed to convince Galland to particpate with them. He NEVER engages in group activities (doesn't play well with others? ). Rounding out their still-to-be-completed lineup includes derekticus, dcr66, flashrock, Blackjoke, and brewk001.

These are the wannabes---the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, overachieving youngsters; the punks, the headbangers, Generation Zero guys----the Squids.

So, with the spirit of Summer in the air, we shall see if the upstarts can defeat the veterans. Statistically, it's impossible! But we all know stats can lie.

I'm not going to keep a running score on this game. I'm only posting this notice in case someone with interest wishes to tune in from time to time. To repeat, this is game 21278.

One thing if for certain---this game features most of the very best players currently playing WSIM, of those who regularly participate in such gatherings of the clans. There are other non-particpants who prefer to play single games, and will never volunteer for team-based events. So be it. To us it is their loss.
