Scoring will be by the scoring system in use at the beginning of the Trident Cup. If there is, at some time, a scoring change for the Trident Cup, it will be announced before the games it affects begin. Mark, Just so you know, mac's team (the Powder Monkeys?) never completely signed up for their second round games with us. I believe mac and a second signed on, but the third was a no-show; and now Armada Geddon only has 6 games going in the second round. I remember talk of "man-overboard" but that seemed to revolve around Trevor's team... Please contact them and see if they are up for a second round game or two with us. If so, we will need another set of games created... derekticus
We apologize for the delay with the start of the Mac's Raiders games. Indeed, there was an individual that, due to business and personal reasons, was unable to sign on in a timely manner for the posted games.
After suitable negotiations, he has agreed to steop, and has been replaced. Replacing jlammers on Mac's Raiders will be Bart, playing under the name GoCanes. Yep, Bryan Mac opted for another Florida guy, out of the several other names submitted by players wishing to take the place of any dropouts that might occur.
There have been other delays in a lot of things. In addition to Joe, Mark (sirlidsley) is also having computer problems at home, and can now spend only an hour daily keeping track of wins, losses, and now the is replacement matter. Therefore, you've got little old me holding down the fort, obviously surrounded by hostiles who want my scalp. Trust me: email tag this week trying to pin down the principals is just as frustrating as phone tag. It's amazing how many people cannot simmply say Yes or No to a simple question.
Back to the Triton Cup, Yes, Derek, your games will be created by Tuesday. Their second guys is also out of town for this holiday weekend, and that is the soonest they can get started.
After all, it isn't that difficult. Mac's Raiders play Armada Geddon as the intraleague game, and then a pair of games from each of the other three teams in our league. Total, 8 games.
Hopefully, Mark will get his home computer situation sorted out as well, and can take over the standings reporting. When reporting your wins, it should always be sent to both him and myself anyway for redundancy. Replacing a recalcitrant player was my job anyway, and it has been done. Bart is a local guy, a friend, and a terrific player with a steep learning curve. He will admirably serve with Mac's team, and maintain their toughness in battle that the Rum Runners found so frustrating.

As a personal observation, I've found Gibraltar, Upwind, to be a great equalizer. If there is a suitable stategy for either side, none of us on the Rum Runners has any clue what it is. |
