Thanks again for all of your and Johnny's work on this tourney!
Armada Geddon's games are now all underway, but I doubt any of them will be over by next Tuesday's start of the next 8 games for us, 32 overall.
May I suggest that we wait on that second tier of games until such time as one of the teams is completely done with all of their games?

Derek We will be adjusting the schedule. The launch of a new wave of games every week was a bit optimistic. I thought a two week gap between games was too long and I wanted to keep it to a midweek start, so I scheduled the one week gap. If we wait till at least one team finishes all their games though, I'm afraid it would really slow things down. We'll keep an eye on everybody's progress and see what happens.
I don't understand what the freakin' hurry is to jam all these games in so fast, and replace players because they don't fit your own neat little schedule. You guys don't have other things, and games, to keep you busy?
My first pitch to Mark regarding setting this whole thing up was originally to play a 3-game series between 2 teams to the end. That would have continued until all teams had completed their first series, then moving on to the second. This would have made the concept of keeping a Standings compilation more logical. If everyone is playing a separate series, and several teams play faster, the standings mean nothing.
I doubt there's going to be any great speed involved anyway. It's foolish to think otherwise.
Mark, the way your doing this tournament is fine. The only problem we've experienced so far is with getting some of the guys up to speed in finding their teams, and getting started. Hopefully the pace will pick up some. But who really cares, as long as the coherence is maintained, and at least regular play continues in the Competition? What do you plan on doing once the Trident Cup is finished. Retiring?
So quit your bitchin' out there, and enjoy the games. Suggesting replacing someone at this point is not deserved, and seems rather selfish to suggest. Regardless, replacing someone other than by their own request will be a joint decision between Mark and myself, after first working with the team Captain. This we have been doing.
So let's develop a little patience out there, shall we?
