When are we going to call on the backup players? It has been nearly 48 hours since the games are created and yet we still have team(s) and player(s) AWOL. If we are going to follow tight schedule; we need to get the games underway.

Hubert, once again: why don't you check in with the organizers? That is really hard? And you would certainly find out the answer to your question, like I did. I had the same question, and got a sane answer. So, send Mark an email and ask him, not the world. Who else out there would know?

HEY! We know stuffs we do

Armada Geddon is happy to announce that we have 4 of 8 games underway with only one false start - the opponent chickened out, me thinks So, all is well in our quadrant.
I think some youplay.it players ACTUALLY (shock of shocks!!! ) have lives outside of the web, and may not be checking and re-checking their turns on an hourly basis like some of us pathetic losers

Best of luck to all! (You are going to need it! )

Well, this is getting particularly embarrassing for me, because Mac's Raiders are my friends, and I can't imagine what their hold up could be. Mark has contacted their captain, as did I, and contacted Joe, who lives here in town. Nothing satisfactory yet.

Such inauspicious starts are normal in first-time events. This, gentlemen, illustrates the necessity of being responsible in taking on the task of participating in this event. One weak link affects all 24 participants. An entire team is even worse, but like you suggested Derek, we're willing to allow them time to sort out their affairs and get started. At worse, we simply put affairs on hold, play the teams already scheduled, and line up another team.

FLASH--just got an email from Mark.. they are having commo problems, and should be signed aboard today... that is as immediate as it gets, guys.

And I meant my previous post... if you have any questions regarding the tournament, or individuals or teams, the Forum is not the place for it. Please contact either Mark or myself. This was part of your "contract" when signing up to play. All such business should be conducted within the group. It reflects badly on the event itself.
