Yeah, yeah, we know... you guys want to get this thing rolling. So do we! Patience brings good things, however, so Tuesday is the Kick-Off day!
Johnny

As much as we tried to stay away from the football theme used for the Wooden Ships World Cup, Johnny loves football so much he has to talk about the "Kick-Off".

Good luck, all. See you on the pitch.

Thanks, Mark; football could also be SOCCER, right?, such as the WORLD CUP, might I also add. AHhhhh, the slings and arrows.....

There, that needed sayin'... feels good to let that out!

Team Armada Geddon is ready for the ceremonial un-furling of the sails!!

I humbly suggest we begin with the following game numbers so each team can concentrate on one game at a time; at least at the beginning until we get forced into doubling up as certain games will no doubt end earlier than others:
Game 1; Game 9; Game 13; and Game 19.

To the North Atlantic Warriors, be forewarned; Sfatulateam will command the Frigates, Flashrock will be on the bridge of the Flag, and I, derekticus, will be leading the van to GLORY.
Opening day will begin our glorious voyage to the Trident Wizards Cup!!!!

Man the jib, we're comin' about!!!

My experience has been that many players would find that pace somewhat boring. However, it was anticipated that the present schedule may be a little ambitious and we are prepared to alter the start dates as needed.

Some games will be over in a week. Some games will take several months. That is why the games are being set up with a five day "slow player time out". Derek, I'll bet you a grande decaf nonfat mocha extra hot, that we will have a least one game go into automove.

So, we'll see how the first week goes and make alterations to the schedule as needed.

Mark,
Sounds good! I guess it was the old "opening day" purity I was looking for.
Load 'em up, and pack 'em in tight, lads!
