It is indeed with great pleasure that we announce the 8th, and final team requested to begin the first ever Trident Cup Competition.

Joining the "Furball", we welcome Barrett's Privateers to the fray, Captain (assumed) Craig Barrett. Brave, intrepid and competitive, albeit dumb as rocks like the rest of us, players all.

Reality Check time: Does everyone know just what they're getting into? We are talking a regular season of 30 required games per team, not including post season. This is going to be a long and grueling path, and keeping a straight wake is imperative.

Any dropouts yet? If so, I've got a few guys in mind who would be glad to step up, and who know what a pair of brass ones really is. The following email was received a very short while ago: "My name is Lino Paupério and I'm interested in participate in the Multiplayer tournament. My email is linopauperio@gmail.com.". Lino has offered his playing ability, which is good, to fill in should a vacancy or a temporary absence be required. Other such volunteers would be welcome. We're bound to have some dispirited souls, or emergency situations, arise.

Preliminary instructions have been sent to the team Captains, and the official tournament will begin when Mark indicates the schedule is complete. We still anticipate April 1st for Opening Season. All 6-players games offered by the YouPlay.It WSIM site will be used in each series. Complete details will also be provided to each team's Captain in due course.

In answer to inquiries regarding practice games, etc., none will be offered as part of the Trident Cup. Teams may do so as private, unofficial games only. So team Captains, prepare your crews. Letters home, as well as last wills and testaments, can be forwarded through Mark or Johnny. Of course, we'll also hold any valuables you wish held in safekeeping!
