It actually happened again in a game with Longneck, though under the new rules. I did not move a ship. The white shadow was not there. It had a guaranteed rake. When my next turn came, the ship had moved forward 2. I did not move it forward.
Longneck also reported to me that he has seen this recently as well.
It's all very odd, because until say the last 4 MONTHS or so, I had never seen this even one time in 500 games or so.
I think I've seen it. I never documented it, but it's one of those things where a couple of times I thought I ordered one move, but a ship did something else. I always assumed I did something wrong, like maybe THOUGHT about something but actually ordered something else, or I didn't confirm I had entered it correctly -- something like that. But it was always a move I would have never made, such as turning into an obvious rake. If I see it again I will definitely note it.
