| Message text After playing 500+ games I have come to some conclusions about rule changes to make the game more playable and enjoyable.
1. Wind Direction change table must be used. (it would allow a ship with 1 row of sails destroyed to get into battle. It would also change the game and how you play it.)
2. When a ship has lost all its hull and sinks its icon should be removed aftre 1 2 or 3 turns. ( Any game with lots of sunk ships becomes hard to move and i've seen a few games where a completely fresh capital ship gets suck between 2 small sunk ships and gets blasted by a frigate that rakes it.) can you imagine playing a large battle with 20+ ships a side.
3.The default setting for the aiming should be hull. (most new players never change from rigging to hull, even when all the sails have been destroyed. It would only make a differance less than 5 hexes anyway.)
4. If anybody surrenders then FULL points be awarded to the opponent. (When this game goes from youtestit to youplayit you can destroy somebodys stats by joining his games and surrendering staight away.)
