Message text I'd like to announce the formation of the Florida Navy, for intramural league play of Wooden Ships & Iron Men between residents of the Great Republic (State) of Florida.
Entry into the Navy is limited strictly to residents having permanent habitation in the State. This will be verified, so visitors will not be eligible for association. The purpose of the Florida Navy is to work up the level of play within the State, foster competition and teamwork, and to help those not as experienced as some to improve their abilities.
Florida is alway in the forefront of World Competition, with World Champions in Baseball, Football, Basketball, College Football, Gator Rasslin', and now, someday, Wooden Ships!
Currently, we have 6 volunteers in the Navy, and play will begin in several weeks, after RECON in Orlando is completed. All volunteers participate in the YouPlay.it version of WSIM, and we are seeking more volunteers for the Cause. There are several other players out there who's background lists Florida as their home, and you're more than welcome to get on board. You too can be a plankowner in the Florida Navy! Please, no recruits from north of Jacksonville, or west of Pensacola!
