Don't trust him, Impailer.
Ashtar is very well known for being an annoying stupid know-it all by all of his friends when it gets to boardgames. We all hate him. It's much more fun to play against him and see him argue with his teammates than to play with him. You actually don't want him to cross the line of falimiliarity: he'll get worse and worse as you know him better.

Ashtar,
I understand where you're coming from. As Kduke said, I think it crossed the line of familiarity, but that's cool. Honestly, I think it may have been a compliment actually that you felt you could say such a thing. I took it the wrong way and offer my sincerest apologies. I too think it may be a cultural thing. Maybe we on the west side of the pond would have said something more along the lines of 'What's up with that Impailer?'. But 'Stupid Move' is quite a bit more aggresive to some of us over here.

I started playing this game in a live group in 1986. Our golden rule, as with most other games and gamers was to never criticize or belittle another person's actions. They may be noobs or just not very skilled players, but they have taken their free time to play and make the game that much more interesting.
Ashtar, again, my apologies, thank you for your rebuttle, and hope to fly again with you soon. |
